“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen, nor touched, but are felt in the heart.” Helen Keller
It’s a sad day for all of us at The Wiebe Group. David Edwin Wiebe, Founder, passed away peacefully at the age of 70, with his family by his side. David was diagnosed three and a half months ago with pancreatic cancer.
We honour our father by carrying on his vision and operating the family business which he created in 1967 according to his core values. We ask you not to mourn his passing but rather celebrate with us in the memory of David – husband, father, grandfather and entrepreneur.
David is lovingly remembered by his wife Phyllis of 43 years, Children – Leah (Rob) Hasselmann, Kevin (Amanda) Wiebe, Allen (Maria) Wiebe; and 8 Grandchildren. One of David’s greatest pleasures was spending time with his grandchildren. Outside of swinging a hammer, he enjoyed playing hockey for many years and, most recently, traveling with friends and his family.
In lieu of flowers, we ask donations be made in David’s memory to either the David Wiebe Memorial Foundation, #204 2890 Garden Street, Abbotsford, BC, W2T 4W7, http://www.abbotsfordcf.org or MCC http://www.mcc.org.
Online condolences to the family can be made at http://www.woodlawnfh-abbotsford.com.
He’s forever in our hearts.
– The Wiebe Family
